Important Notice regarding Sports Fee

Dear Parents,

Alhamdulillah with your support, HFS is growing in terms of its facilities, staff and curricula, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. We aim to start a News letter in which we would like to keep you updated about our progress because you, as a sincere stake holder to our project are very important and your satisfaction is our foremost requirement. We Insha Allah always welcome positive feedback and suggestions and look into all complaints. The series of the Newsletters will help you clear many queries and create an ownership in the school’s progress. You may see by this way how seriously we take care of your suggestions and complaints.

This is the First News letter in which we would like to share with you that HFS has constructed a state of art swimming pool with all its relevant facilities, with the arrangements of fully hygienic water, trained coaches and heated pool in winter. In addition to that a wide park and play ground with the facilities of swings and sports like cricket and foot ball has been constructed and professional coach male \ female for the sports and exercises have been hired. You must be aware of the fact that such physical activities are very instrumental for the child’s physical and mental health and ultimately produce productive results in health and academics.

For the construction of all these facilities, HFS did not receive any fee from you, instead HFS paid for the construction by its own resources. However, for the running and operational costs we would need your support. HFS does not want to run them on commercial basis rather it must be self sustainable to cover its actual costs and all receivable amounts are spent on HFS only. Many of these costs are incurred during the whole academic session regardless of being holidays or not. And it is the norm and custom of all schools that such charges are charged on monthly basis regardless of holidays.

In May 2011, quite well before the start of new session, we decided the entire fee structure including sports fee of Rs. 600 and all schedule of charges mentioning sports fee as well was sent to all parents. The details were uploaded on the Jamia Darul Uloom website and then on to HFS website (www.hirafoundation.com) which is still available there.

After reducing the initial higher costs and with the request of some parents we revised our sport fee charges without compromising our high standards. As mentioned above during summer vacations, being a holiday period, the sports facility was not provided to the students; however the school incurred for such costs and had to continue paying its variable operational expenses such as payment to sports coordinators /coaches and maintenance of facility like electricity, water, gas and chemicals for water cleaning etc, and as per the norms and practices of other schools we had to charge the sports fee. However, based on new workings and reduction of initial operational costs we have revised our sports fee to Rs. 350/- per month instead of Rs. 600/- per month. This amount is applicable from the past month of September when the swimming was closed upon doctor’s advice due to the wide outspread of Dengue fever for one month, although HFS kept incurring for the costs related to swimming. During these months of September and October the children were engaged in other sports and exercise activities. Now we have taken the pathological tests of water from Aga Khan and verified from doctors and they have allowed us to resume swimming and InshaAllah after some process of cleaning we are going to restart it.

It is our vision that any amount received by HFS, would only be used for providing high standards of education to the children and for relevant items such as grooming and training of the teachers and staff in order to create and enhance the appropriate teaching atmosphere at our school. Having no commercial interests, we are all Alhamdulillah very well committed to cater to our stake holders.

We hope by this resolution your view of Hira Foundation School will be of high regard.

Extra Sports Class

7th Ziqad, 1432 (6th October 2011)

Dear Parents, Asalam-O-Alikum,

It is to inform you that an extra sports class will be conducted on every Saturday from 12:45 pm to 2:00 pm from 8th Oct 2011. All academic classes will be conducted as per the previous schedule. Therefore, all students are supposed to bring their books and copies as usual. The dismissal time of school will remain same as previous. Sports Dress (white shirt, trousers and shoes) is optional.
